Sunless Tanning FAQ’s

By | Blog

So you’ve never tried a spray tan. But you want color on your skin in a healthy, non-damaging way. Our VersaSpa sunless tanning system is fully automated, safe and provides an array of options to suite your needs. If an all over glow is your desire, choose the level of color you feel most comfortable with. Light, Medium or Deep are your 3 options. To maximize your results, add one or both of the enhancement options to your session. A pre-bronze pH prep spray will even out skin porosity and accelerate your color. Perfect if you have uneven dryness on your skin or if you desire quicker results. A post bronze Moisturizing spray ensures your skin stays hydrated for a longer lasting tan. Here are a few more popular FAQ’s. Call us at 931-542-1312 if you need more info.

How do I prepare for my spray tanning session?
-Exfoliate and shave before your session. Refrain from using any moisturizers, perfumes or oils.
How long will my tan last?
-With proper maintenance your tan can last up to 7 days. Limit the amount of exfoliation and increase the amount of moisturizer you use. Like any other tan, your sunless tan will fade gradually.
What if my tan fades faster on my face or legs?
-It’s not unusual for certain parts of your body to fade quicker. Hot showers, shaving your legs and frequent face washing can compromise the color in those areas. We carry the Sunless tanner Bronzing spray in a can to easily touch-up any part of your body that needs extra color. It’s truly the “machine in the can.”
After my sunless tanning session, will my clothes or hair be stained?
-Our VersaSpa sunless tanning solution has two parts: 1)the sunless tanner that penetrates your skin and after several hours give your skin color and 2)a cosmetic bronzer that you see immediately as you step out of the machine. The cosmetic bronzer may rub off on your clothing but will wash out easily.
I’m going to the beach and want a “base” tan. Will sunless tanning protect my skin?
-Sunless tanning is cosmetic. Color takes place in the outermost layers of your skin. It is not protective and you will need SPF if you will be in the sun.
